It’s time for a product review! Who doesn’t love a great headband?! Headbands are perfect for pulling back that crazy hair that won’t stay out of your face and they are also perfect as a finishing touch to help tie an outfit together.
One of my favorite products we carry here at 107 Market Street is just that – and it’s handmade in Guatemala. It is hand woven and beautiful. The patterns are so well put together and the colors in each headband extend the wear far beyond just one outfit.
My talented grandmother patiently taught me to crochet before she passed away. I am not very good at the skill, but I love the idea of it. Every winter I have a desire to donate a box of handmade scarves to the local homeless shelter.
Unfortunately, I remember to buy the yarn during the first week of December. I start a slip knot by the second week of the month and spend another day or two desperately trying to remember how to make a simple chain. I am lucky if I can shake out two scarves

Here at 107 Market Street, we have been beyond blessed over the this past summer to work with our intern, Jessica. She has lived here on the island and worked with us in person. We want to tell you about how awesome she is!

It’s that time of year…Back To School! I love this time of year – for so many reasons. Newness, routine, cooler temperatures just around the corner…maybe! J
It is a time of nostalgia for me. I always loved this time of year as a kid. Probably evidenced by the fact that I kept going to school much longer than I actually had to! Although, my Dad gave me much advice and typical cliché’ sayings, the most important thing he ever taught me wasn’t through words - it was through action. COMMITMENT. It was the way he lived out loving my mother. That’s what my Dad showed me.
My parents were high school sweethearts. Married young,
